LADWP Expands Operations to the Pacific Stock Exchange Building
By Mia Rose Wong
As a part of the John Ferraro Building’s Reconsolidation Plan, about 7 percent of LADWP’s workforce relocated to the historic Pacific Stock Exchange Building earlier this year – approximately 500 employees from the Customer Service Division (CSD) and 300 employees from Information Technology Services (ITS).
Located at 233 S. Beaudry Ave. in Downtown Los Angeles, the facility boasts new office spaces, conference rooms, a fitness room, spacious break rooms and an assembly room for hosting special meetings and events. Employees occupy the 10th, 11th and Penthouse (12th) floors.
Several factors were considered when planning for the move. It was recommended by ITS that JFB’s information technology infrastructure be re-engineered and relocated offsite to a new facility where ITS operations can be consolidated and a modern system can be implemented prior to decommissioning the existing system.
The move for CSD employees was equally important. Currently, CSD employees report to several facilities throughout the City and to ensure continuity of services in the event of operational impacts, so adding another location for redundancy was crucial.

“The move has been several years in the making. With the assistance of Facilities Services and Information Technology Administration, CSD was able to move our staff into the new building in approximately 6 weeks. The move required months of planning and collaboration to make it possible.”
